What we love: The stripped-back visuals make Golden Lap easy to navigate, which is good because there’s a lot to get your teeth into. As well as managing races in real time, you’re in charge of hiring and firing, and even developing new cars.

Quick tip: Don’t overthink pit stops – your drivers are going to come in for them pretty regularly anyway. And remember that you’re unlikely to be able to afford a top flight team right away. This game is more management than racing, so as long as you’re making sustainable growth, you’re heading in the right direction.
